About Us

At The Birthing Circle, we believe all families deserve high-quality, knowledgeable education and support throughout the pregnancy, birthing, and postpartum process. Many families, especially those in low-income or marginalized communities, face obstacles to accessing these vital resources which affects their birthing options, choices, and outcomes.

In an effort to help families throughout Maryland access these resources, as well as build a vibrant community of families, The Birthing Circle was founded.

We provide a variety of programs and resources to families throughout the service area, including:

• The Doula Project

• Support groups

• Special Events

• Childbirth classes

• Online communities

• A library of local resources

• And more!

We are a federal 501(c)3 nonprofit. If you are passionate about birthing and babies, we’re always looking for new volunteers! And if you can’t volunteer but still want to support our work, consider making a donation. All donations go directly to helping families in our service area.
